The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
