New South Wales law enforcement stated they've exposed an international ritualistic child sex abuse material ring and charged four Australian men for their alleged involvement.
Probe Particulars
Investigators from the special victims unit indicated that as part of Operation Constantine, an inquiry into the online distribution of child exploitation content involving ritualistic themes, they dismantled a Sydney-based organization.
Police claimed the group was regularly engaged in holding, sharing and facilitating this content through a online platform that was "administered internationally".
Law Enforcement Actions
Officers, joined by the riot squad, executed six search warrants in the Waterloo area, Ultimo district and Malabar on Thursday morning last week.
- In the Waterloo location, police arrested a 26-year-old man who they alleged played a "key position" in the network.
- He was accused with numerous offences including holding child exploitation content, making available child abuse material, and disseminating and possessing bestiality material.
- Bail was denied to face court proceedings the previous Friday.
Further Detentions
At a unit block in Malabar, investigators took into custody three males aged forty-six, 42 and 39.
They were also charged with possession of child abuse material and additional offenses.
All four are due to return to court at a future time.
